「加油」的說法很多，除了get gas，你也可以說gas up 或 fill up (one’s tank)，tank指的是「油箱」。

「加油站」可以說gas station、filling station或service station。

在英國，汽油則會用petrol一字，因此英式英文的加油站就會說petrol station。

給汽車加油不是直譯為 add oil，而是用 fill up；給某人加油、鼓勵則是 cheer someone up。

例子：

Before we hit the road, I need to fill up my car first.
在我們上路前，我得先去把車加滿油。
 

He filled up the tank with gas.
他在油箱裡加滿了汽油。

What’s the cheapest place to get gas around here?
附近最便宜的加油站在哪裡？

We need to gas up before we get on the freeway.
我們上高速公路之前要把油箱加滿。
